Yutaka Sanada is regional senior vice president and head of Nissan's Asia & Oceania (A&O) operations. In this role he is responsible for driving Nissan's midterm plan Nissan M.O.V.E to 2022 in the region, with a clear focus on customer satisfaction, manufacturing and R&D excellence and Alliance synergies.
Sanada joined Nissan in 1991 and since held various roles of increasing responsibility across multiple functions, including logistics, sales and marketing, production and supply chain management; and various business units, including the Alliance and Nissan Motorsports (NISMO). Sanada's many achievements at Nissan include launching the Dayz series and establishing it as a core model for the Japanese market; reviving the GT-R; and brokering a strategic partnership with Daimler.
Sanada is a firm believer in empowering and growing employees, while challenging them to think of creative, new ways to further enhance Nissan's services and offerings.
