BANGKOK, Thailand – Nissan Thailand unveiled the special-edition Nissan Almera 'Sportech,' with a unique, sporty and premium design. This marks the latest version of the iconic intelligent urban sedan that delivers top-class safety, comfort, driving performance, and value for money.

Designed and developed by AUTECH JAPAN, Inc*, the new Almera Sportech creates enhanced sportiness with new front and rear bumpers with silver decoration, a glossy black front grille, a new sporty rear spoiler with the Sportech logo at the rear trunk, silver wing mirror with side turn lamps, and new 15-inch black alloy wheels with two tone matching. The overall look is even more athletic, and sophisticated.
The Almera's interior is also famous for its overall space and comfort. The stylish passenger cabin features high quality materials in black tones, such as the front console, both front and rear side door panels are covered with black material with coordinated dark gray stitching. Making the interior sleeker and sportier, side air vents are now dark metallic, with piano black decoration on the gear knob and steering wheel spokes.
The NissanConnect multi-infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen also keeps customers ahead of the curve by bringing infotainment, navigation, safety, security and more under a single platform. With seamless connection via smartphone Apple CarPlay**. USB/AUX device connector and 6 high quality speakers, this ensures fun for every trip.
The new Almera Sportech is fun to drive, and boasts great fuel efficiency. Its 1.0-liter turbo engine, HRA0, brings a maximum power output of 100 PS, 152 Nm of torque, giving quick and constant acceleration from the flat torque. Giving improved fuel economy with consistent driving performance, is the 'Idling Stop' function that automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is at red lights, then activates as the car sets off again. While the XTRONIC CVT transmission system enhances driving excitement with D-Step Logic that provides smoother gear changes, giving prompt acceleration rate and helping more efficient driving.
Independent front Macpherson Strut and stabilizer bar control, as well as the torsion beam rear suspension and stabilizer bar control, provides smooth rides with better grip and handling of the vehicle.
The new Nissan Almera Sportech comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety technologies, including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW), Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) with four cameras monitors that signals for any moving object and pedestrians.
The new Nissan Almera Sportech will be available in V and VL grades which are V Sportech CVT and VL Sportech CVT, with starting price at 629,000 baht and receive a vehicle warranty for three years or 100,000 kilometers. Five dynamic colors are Radiant Red, Monarch Orange, Gun Metallic Gray, Storm White, and Black Star.
