Nissan Korea (CEO: Sung-Joong Huh) is showcasing the All-New Nissan LEAF for the first time in Korea at the Daegu International Future Auto EXPO on November 1st and starting its pre-order.

The Nissan LEAF which is viewed as a byword for EV, starting with the launch of the 'world's first 100% production EV', the 1st generation Nissan LEAF in 2010, recorded 370,000 units of accumulated sales (as of Oct. 2018) based on outstanding quality and durability, thus becoming the world's best-selling EV.

The All-New Nissan LEAF is the first full change 2nd generation EV and came back as a new evolution. It maintained the brand's color with Nissan's signature elements such as the V-motion grille, LED boomerang headlamps, but completed a more dynamic and sophisticated style with large width and low height proportion and blue3D Ice Cube grille. Inside as well, it has highlighted sporty but luxurious feel with high quality matte chrome materials and D-cut leather-wrapped steering wheel. It has also secured comfort and practicality with full heated seats, large cabin and 435L of large luggage space.

The All-New Nissan LEAF embodies Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the company's approach to changing the way cars are driven, powered and integrated into society. The three key aspects of Nissan Intelligent Mobility exemplified by All-New Nissan LEAF are Nissan Intelligent Driving, Nissan Intelligent Power and Nissan Intelligent Integration.

Nissan Intelligent Power

Nissan's characteristic of exciting driving feel has been further strengthened with the new e-powertrain. Based on the 40kWh high capacity battery, new inverter and high output electric motor, energy efficiency and driving performance have been enhanced. Its driving range is 231km (MOE standard), which fully satisfies daily average driving range of 39.5km in Korea. Its maximum output and maximum torque are 110kW (150ps) and 320Nm (32.6 kg.m), which are 38% and 26% higher, respectively. It also boasts of outstanding acceleration, reaching 100km/h from standstill in just 7.9 seconds.

Nissan Intelligent Driving

Headlining All-New Nissan LEAF's Nissan Intelligent Driving technology are e-Pedal and the company's heralded Nissan safety driving technologies. In particular, the newly equipped e-pedal offers a totally new way of driving as it enables deceleration, acceleration and even braking with only one pedal. By minimizing fatigue and maximizing the role of regenerating braking system, it offers optimized driving according to the driver's taste and situation, from economic driving to thrilling driving.

Furthermore, the All-New Nissan LEAF is equipped with diverse Nissan Intelligent Mobility Technologies such as Intelligent Around View Monitor which shows 360° around the car to reduce the risk of accident, Intelligent Cruise Control which measures the distance with the car ahead in real time and controls speed according to the traffic flow, Intelligent Trace Control system which adjust brake pressure on each of the wheel upon cornering, to provide safety and driving confidence.

Nissan Intelligent Integration

All-New Nissan LEAF links drivers, vehicles and communities through the systems that share power between electric vehicles and homes, buildings and power grids.

Using vehicle-to-home systems, the battery makes it possible to store surplus solar power during the daytime and then use it to help power the home in the evening. The customer can also recharge the battery in the middle of the night, when prices are lowest in some markets, and then use the electricity during the day to reduce energy costs.

In some countries with vehicle-to-grid systems, Nissan LEAF owners can get incentives from energy companies to improve power grid stability by absorbing demand fluctuation.

Meanwhile, Nissan Korea prepared a special benefit for pre-order customers during the expo period (until 4th) to celebrate the showcasing of the All-New Nissan LEAF. Customers pre-ordering the All-New Nissan LEAF through Nissan's showrooms around the country will be provided with 3 year extended coupon for Free Maintenance Service (FMS) program which includes free inspection and exchange of essential consumables, and KRW400,000 worth of EV charging fee (worth 1 year charging).

And at the Expo, there will be various experiential programs along with the display of the All-New Nissan LEAF. Inside the booth, there will be a lap-time event using the e-pedal simulator where customers can experience the newly equipped e-pedal. At Nissan LEAF Electric Café', coffee and mobile phone charging services will be offered with the electricity extracted from the All-New Nissan LEAF to customers having a consultation. Through Nissan Intelligent Mobility AR service, customers will also be able to easily try Nissan's innovative driving safety technologies applied to the All-New Nissan LEAF.

Nissan Korea's CEO, Sung-Joong Huh said, "The All-New Nissan LEAF is more than just an EV which integrates Nissan's future technological direction, Nissan Intelligent Mobility. With the outstanding product value recognized in the global market, we will suggest a new standard in the Korean EV market as well."
